9.47pm: Saints 73 - Tigers 84

ST KILDA captain Nick Riewoldt has breathed new life into the Saints kicking three third quarter goals to make it an 11-point game at the final change.

Riewoldt pounced on the loose ball in the shadows of three-quarter time to kick his fourth goal.

But cousin Jack Riewoldt leads allcomers with six majors of his own.

St Kilda was again forced to fight back into contention after the Tigers skipped 22-points clear midway through the final quarter.

9.36pm: Saints 60 - Tigers 82

RICHMOND narrowly leads St Kilda in an arm wrestle at the MCG.

The Tigers have been unable to shake a defiant Saints outfit who trail by just 22 points midway through the third quarter.

A Riewoldt shoot out dominates the play with Jack leading cousin Nick six goals to two in the free-flowing affair.

The Saints drew first in the third term before Riewoldt's mark and goal establish the Tiger's lead.

Not to be outdone, the 'other' Riewoldt stood tall up the other end converting his set shot to get St Kilda back within 10 points.

The Tigers threatened to bust the game open with Ty Vickery and Chris Newman slotting back-to-back goals.

The Saints through Stephen Milne again responded but the fight back was short-lived when Jack waltzed in for his sixth major of the night.

9pm: Saints 42 - Tigers 58

LAST week it was all about Jack Riewoldt playing the team game not kicking any goals in the Tigers' hard-fought win over Carlton.

Fast forward seven days and Jack has his mojo back slotting four first-half goals to set up the Tigers' 16-point half time lead.

And, it gets worse for the defiant Saints with Tiger young gun Dustin Martin leading allcomers with 16 disposals at 75 per cent efficiency.

St Kilda tried valiantly in that second term to hold the Tigers at bay with Beau Maister and Nick Riewoldt kicking goals to keep the Saints within striking distance.

But again it was Jack who wheeled around on his right boot to kick his fourth and stop the Saints in their tracks.

Leigh Montagna has been the pick of St Kilda's onball division followed by Jack Steven and Nick Dal Santo.

8.39pm: Saints 27 - Tigers 47

RICHMOND is putting paid to St Kilda early in the second quarter at the MCG.

The Saints started the better with skipper Nick Riewoldt's crumbing goal to kick-start proceedings.

But cousin Jack answered for the Tigers only moments later winning a free kick in the goal square which paved the way for Reece Conca to stroll in and kick the goal.

Jack then slotted his third before Jake King's checkside from deep in the pocket made it a 20-point margin midway through the term.

Shaun Grigg has won plenty of the ball (13 disposals) as have Riewoldt, Dustin Martin (13 possessions) and Troy Chaplin (11 touches).

8.17pm: Saints 13 - Tigers 28

TIGER Luke McGuane with two goals and soaring mark has inspired the Tigers to an early lead over St Kilda at the MCG.

St Kilda has its back to the wall early against a defiant Tigers outfit looking to assert its authority on the contest.

Dustin Martin has had the ball on a string collecting nine first-quarter disposals while Shaun Grigg, Brett Deledio and Troy Chaplin have been busy.

St Kilda kicked a consolation goal late in the term to cut the margin to 15 points when Terry Milera combined with Rhys Stanley for the Saints second.

7.58pm: Saints 6 - Tigers 7

ST KILDA forward Beau Maister kicked the first goal of the match after taking a strong mark 20m out directly in front.

Maister has been good early working up the ground giving the Saints defenders a marking target forward of centre.
